FROM TIM DUKES: MOBILE DMV

Date Posted: Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024

The Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) “On the Go” mobile unit kicks off its third season visiting Seaford starting this week.

The 45-foot trailer, featuring four fully functional workstations, is ADA-accessible. It comes complete with an awning for bad weather and a wheelchair lift, and it performs most DMV transactions except for inspections and road exams. (Customers needing assistance for an uninsured motorist issue or in-person driver improvement will still need to visit one of the permanent DMV offices in Wilmington, Delaware City, Dover, or Georgetown.)

Last year, the DMV on the Go trailer assisted over 1,600 customers statewide by allowing them to renew their registrations and driver’s licenses, complete title work, and more in their neighborhoods.

From April 1st through October 31st, the DMV on the Go trailer will make weekly visits to Seaford at the following times and venue:

Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Big Lots Plaza

820 Norman Eskridge Highway, Seaford
