Please note:  Effective Wednesday, October 12, 2022 the scheduled hours for the Bethel Town Office are changing as follows:

NEW TOWN OF BETHEL OFFICE HOURS SCHEDULE effective 10/12/2022:  

The office hours for the Town of Bethel Town Office are changing per the following schedule:

Town Office will be open from 9 a.m. until Noon for any person(s) needing to come to the office to conduct business with the Town (i.e. – Permits, Hall Rental, general inquiries, etc.).   However,  the options for  leaving a voicemail at 302-877-8139 or email inquiries/questions to betheltownclerk@gmail.com are always available for anyone to conduct business with the
Town of Bethel.  Your email or voice message will be addressed/returned as soon as possible.  

The office will be still be open from 1-3 pm inn order to conduct other required duties for the town.  

IMPORTANT:  per the current Bethel complaint procedures, the requirement that all complaint forms be filled out/completed in person at the office is still in effect; the complaint form(s) must be signed by an owner of record as per the current Sussex County tax records – no exceptions to this procedure will be permitted except by legal requirement when the owner or record is unable to physically come to the office.  However, we must have a valid copy of any legal, notarized order (court, etc.) and only the person named will be permitted to file the form.  Valid photo ID will be required and copies of any Order and ID will be secured and kept in the appropriate file for same.
